Gillian is currently a resident at the metal studio at Harbourfront Centre. In 2003 she graduated from George Brown College with honours from their Jewellery Arts program where she received the Made You Look Entrepreneur Award and the Viola So Award.
Taking a leave from her studies in Canada, Gillian travelled to Florence, Italy where she undertook an intensive jewellery course featuring textile techniques; creating jewellery using crochet hooks and knitting needles to produce little sculptures in sterling silver. In addition to her jewellery studies she has a BA in psychology from the University of Western Ontario graduating on the Dean’s List with Honours.
