Jan Kiewiet

Jan Kiewiet was born and educated in the Netherlands where he studied
Fine Art at The Hague Academy of Art. He has worked and painted in the
Netherlands, France and Switzerland before immigrating to North America
where he resumed his painting full time after retirement from the auto
industry.

Jan has exhibited at Passage 33 Gallery in the Netherlands; Collage
2003, Toronto, in November 2003, and the Toronto Art Expo, March 2004.

To describe his work, Jan says he is seeking the harmony of colour and
the poetry of composition in landscape or urban surroundings with
abstract line and form.
