“Creating art in and of nature allows me to respond in a spontaneous way to the environment and I am inspired by the processes of regeneration, history and sustainability. These are critical contemporary issues that we are drawn to contemplate.”
Jennie Clark expresses her interest in ecology through various forms of art making. A graduate of the Ontario College of Art. she has also studied Advanced Fine Arts at Georgian College receiving awards for printmaking and clay sculpture.
She created site-specific art for Markham’s Environmental Art project, summer 2005, exhibited at the Latcham Gallery, October 2004 and has her work in many private collections in Canada, United States and Great Britain.
